Back in 2012, we were treated to a fabulous concert by Choir18. We kept meaning to get them back, but for one reason or another that hasn’t happened. So now we are very pleased that the choir is able to come once again to the glorious setting which is Hunsdon Church, bringing with them a repertoire of interesting pieces and a collection of voices in perfect harmony.
Choir18 brings together singers from several choirs in the Hertford area to perform a wide repertoire in some of Europe’s most amazing buildings. In May 2008 some members sang with another choir at the main Sunday morning Mass in St Mark’s in Venice. The choir’s first year included a weekend in Brussels singing at the Cathedral and Eglise St Jacques.
Since January 2010 they have sung at Great St Mary’s, Michaelhouse and the Round Church in Cambridge, St Edmundsbury, Ely, Norwich, Peterborough and Southwark Cathedrals, St Albans Abbey, Waltham Abbey Church and the University Church in Oxford.
Each year they take the late May holiday weekend away singing in some stunning venues.
