Here’s an event that is familiar to the village, having been a feature of Christmas celebrations here for over 20 years.
On 22nd December, at 7:30pm, the Bishop’s Stortford Brass Band is coming to accompany our singing once again. Seasonal refreshments will be served inside the Village Hall afterwards. There’s no need to book – just turn up and join in!
The whole family is welcome to join us to fill the air with the strains of some of the best-known carols from years gone by. If you fancy singing some new Christmas music, too, check out our celebration of Carols Old and New which is held in St Dunstan’s church.
If you would like to make a donation to the work of the Salvation Army (Harlow), you may do so online, here. We will be taking a collection for their work during the event.

- A smartphone-friendly pdf (big print, white-on-black, and easy to read in the dark). Works best with Adobe Acrobat Reader (contents page links do not work with Google Drive’s pdf viewer, sorry!)
- A pdf to print on paper and read with a torch (NB this is 24 pages of A4 – works very well as an A5 booklet) We will have some copies of this available.
We would encourage you to use the smartphone version rather than print it, but if you would prefer to use a printed version, you may also find it helpful to bring a torch!
