Among the first tasks to achieve was the development of a dedicated website which would be the central hub for Open House. We wanted a professional-looking website which could contain detailed information about the various events (including advertising beforehand and reviews afterwards) and also host both a calendar and a booking system which was simple for visitors to navigate and use.
This has been established quite quickly, and will be developed over time. We would love your feedback. Please let us know if we can improve it by dropping us a note via our contact form.
How to use the website
To find out about our events and general activity, visitors to the site should read the main posts on the website. These give detailed information about the events (upcoming or past) or about the programme as a whole. These posts are categorised and tagged with key-words to help people find the information or event types they want quickly. They are also stored in a searchable archive related to the month they were written (not necessarily the month of the event to which they refer). We hope that people will want to add reviews of the events by commenting on the posts and so keep the conversation going and the community alive.
To book tickets or reserve places at events, visitors should use the links within detailed posts or the “What’s On” link to go the event posts themselves.
For advance notification of upcoming events or other updates, guests can register to join our priority mailing list. We won’t spam. Just a monthly email noting the most recent updates.
